Steering Committees are responsible for the planning and participating in the eight TLT program days in their community.  A small group from the committee, as well as others interested in planning a day, meet and discuss current issues and ideas about the program topic generally.  They plan and produce the day, including sites to visit, lunch and snacks, and speakers and experts to invite. 

It is exciting and challenging to create a day around a huge topic and find ways to engage students and give them a taste of how the community works and the roles that citizens play and to awaken their interest in learning more.

The Board of Directors currently serves as the Steering Committee for the Santa Rosa classes.
