Is there a fee to participate in TLT?
Tuition is $650, which can be paid in 1, 2, or 4 payments spread out over 6 months. Students are encouraged to earn a portion of their tuition as their contribution. Financial aid is available to qualified students, and students are accepted into the program without regard to their financial status. All interested students are encouraged to apply.
How is the TLT program structured?
TLT is a 9-month community involvement program patterned after the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce Leadership Santa Rosa program. Each month during the school year, successful applicants spend a day with community leaders and experts visiting sites where they practice leadership skills, problem solving techniques, and teamwork.
When and where does TLT meet?
TLT meets one day each month for 9 months. A day-long retreat is held in late August or early September, and a graduation celebration is held in May. The location of each meeting is different, depending on the nature of the program day.
How can I find out more about TLT?
Representatives meet with sophomores at each school in March. School counselors have information, as well. The TLT phone number if 707-766-4205. Please check this website to see if the information you need is here.
When are selections made?
Graduates from an adult leadership program and TLT alumni conduct interviews with each applicant during April/May. Their goal is to get to know the applicants, and to create a diverse class of students who can benefit from the program, and contribute to the program. Interview questions have no right or wrong answers, and are based on students' interests and experiences.
